Jan. 22, 2020

A delegation of two Princeton faculty and eight graduate students of the Program in Classical Philosophy was in São Paulo from January 17 to 19, 2020, to discuss the second half of Aristotle's foundational work Categories together with faculty and graduate students from the Universidade de São Paulo (USP) and the Universidad Panamericana in Mexico. “Everyone learned a lot,”  Princeton Philosophy Professor and Brazil LAB associate Hendrik Lorenz commented: “all participants had an excellent time, thanks to the outstanding hospitality of the workshop's wonderful hosts at USP.” This was the second installment of a three-year initiative that is partly funded by a Global Collaborative Network grant from International Princeton. The workshop was organized by Lorenz together with Professor Marco Zingano from USP and María Elena García Pelaez Cruz from the Universidad Panamericana.
