New article on Tupinambá's land reclamations by Daniela Alarcon published on the Brazil LAB + Nexo Public Policies platform

The Brazil LAB has just published on its Nexo Public Policies platform an article by Museu Nacional scholar Daniela Alarcon. The article presents her PhD thesis titled "O retorno dos parentes: mobilização e recuperação territorial entre os Tupinambá da Serra do Padeiro, sul da Bahia". Based on fieldwork and archival research, Alarcon analyses the contemporary land reclamations by Tupinambá people from Serra do Padeiro, focusing on the return of relatives and the construction of the collective political subject that has engendered the reclamations. The study is available here.
