Clarice Convida, a new Brazil LAB platform celebrating the work of Clarice Lispector, one of the greatest writers of all times
We are delighted to share that on Wednesday, December 7th, 2022, we launched to great success our new bilingual platform Clarice Convida, celebrating the life and work of Clarice Lispector, one of the greatest writers of all times.
Born in Ukraine on December 10, 1920, to parents fleeing anti-Semitic persecution, Clarice Lispector arrived in northeastern Brazil in 1922, where she was reborn brasileira.
On our platform, Clarice's luminous astonishing novels, short stories, and chronicles gain new voices and meanings. A teaser of the website is available here.
Our premiere featured Fernanda Torres, Palm d’Or award winning actress and author, in conversation with João Biehl and Marilia Librandi.
The lively virtual event has already reached over 2,000 viewers and is available on the Brazil LAB YouTube Channel.
We would like to invite you to access our new platform and help disseminate the incredible oeuvre of Clarice: clarice.princeton.edu
