"Is Brazil Joining the Far-Right Club?": Angela Alonso and Jeremy Adelman Respond
Oct. 23, 2018
This month two Associates of the Brazil LAB—sociologist Angela Alonso, President of the Brazilian Center of Analysis and Planning, and Jeremy Adelman, Director of Princeton's Global History Lab—co-wrote an answer to the question "Is Brazil Joining the Far-Right Club?" Their powerful piece, published in The American Prospect, challenges the claim that Brazil is part of the global far-right political wave.
We were especially pleased to hear that Alonso and Adelman decided to collaborate after conversing at Brazil LAB's inaugural colloquium just last month! We imagined the Brazil LAB as a place to foster intellectual synergy and spark new ideas, and we are excited to see that vision coming true.
