Arminio Fraga Returns for "Now What? Brazil Under Bolsonaro"

Friday, Nov 23, 2018

Brazilian economist and former head of the Brazilian Central Bank, Arminio Fraga *85, returned to the Brazil LAB on November 16 to continue the discussion he began at the Brazil LAB inaugural colloquium in September. Jeremy Adelman (History Department & Global History Lab) acted as discussant.

In his talk, Fraga warned that enacting the necessary economic reforms would not be easy for the Bolsonaro administration. He ended his talk on a positive note, however, citing the strength of Brazil's free press, judiciary, and civil society.
