Event Description

How do we fight for environmental justice using machine learning and data visualization?
In this workshop, leading Brazilian environmentalists explore how cloud computing and network collaboration can creatively produce multi-temporal maps and analyses of land cover and land use change in Amazonia. Together, we will consider how civil society, policymakers, and green business can use such visual evidence in struggles against deforestation and for conservation of the rainforest.
