The Rise and Fall of the Brazilian Economy

Laura Carvalho, one of Brazil’s most prominent economists, will discuss her new book A Valsa Brasileira, exploring how the Brazilian economy took a drastic turn downwards during the last few years. Carvalho is a Professor of Economics at the University of São Paulo and a columnist for the Brazilian newspaper Folha de São Paulo. 

Discussant: Marcelo Medeiros (Brazilian Economic Sociologist and Senior Researcher at the Institute for Applied Economic Research and Visiting Fellow at the Brazil LAB).
