Laura Carvalho is Professor of Economics at the University of São Paulo. Carvalho’s best-selling book Valsa Brasileira explores how the Brazilian economy took a drastic downward turn during the last few years. She is currently a columnist for the Brazilian newspaper Folha de São Paulo.
Celso Rocha de Barros is a sociologist and analyst for the Brazilian Central Bank. He holds a degree in Political Science from the State University of Campinas (Unicamp) and a PhD in Sociology from Oxford University. Barros is also a columnist for Folha de São Paulo.
João Biehl is Susan Dod Brown Professor of Anthropology, Director of the Brazil LAB, and Co-Director of the Global Health Program at Princeton University.
